Highland Lakes youth take field, reins and court at recent summer programs

A variety of summer camps and clinics recently took place in the Highland Lakes, including basketball, baseball and horse riding. Second-grader Cooper Chase learns the proper way to catch a pitch during the Mustang Baseball Camp on June 5-7 at Scearce Baseball Field on the Marble Falls High School campus. The camp, which was directed by Mustangs baseball head coach J.T. Blair, drew 75 players. “I’ve been impressed with the talent, especially the 9-, 10- and 11-year-olds,” he said.
