FROM STAFF REPORTS

LUBBOCK — The Burnet High School girls track-and-field team notched some of its best performances of the season at the Class 3A Region I meet April 26-27.

“These girls represented Burnet with spirit, pride and honor as they competed well at possibly one of the best regional meets I’ve attended in 16 years,” head coach Doug Messer said. “Many meet records were broken at this meet, and the Lady Dawgs were able to secure several personal bests at the meet as well.”

Messer added he couldn’t be prouder of his athletes.

“The number one thanks goes out to these athletes for the time and effort they have put forth this season,” he said.
