A two-vehicle collision April 30 at the intersection of RR 1431 and FM 1980 west of Marble Falls sent two people to a hospital. According to Trooper Morgan Conn with the Texas Department of Department of Public Safety, a westbound van struck an eastbound pickup that was turning north on FM 1980 just after 2:15 p.m. The male driver of the truck was not transported, while a male and female in the van were taken by ambulance to an area hospital. Conn said the female passenger was airlifted from the hospital with “severe” injuries. The accident remains under investigation. Staff photo by Jared Fields
