Marble Falls baseball team starts season with win against Canyon Lake

CANYON LAKE — The Marble Falls High School baseball team began its 2013 season with a 4-3 victory against Canyon Lake on Feb. 18.
“It felt good to get a win,” Mustangs head coach J.T. Blair said. “I was a little nervous going into the game.”
Senior pitcher Cody Goodman (1-0) picked up the victory. He was on the mound for the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. Other pitchers included seniors Cole Ridgely and Stacy Heinatz and junior Garrett Winslett.
“It was a well-pitched, well-played game,” Blair said. “It’s good for our kids to be in a game like that.”
ON OFFENSE: Domenic Patterson, solo home run in second inning; Carson Bowen, 2-run double with two outs and bases loaded
QUOTABLE: “Every pitch counted and every at-bat counted,” Blair said.
RECORDS: Marble Falls is 1-0.
