Master Gardeners offering quilt as prize at Lawn & Garden Show on March 23

Highland Lakes Master Gardeners Fredi Franki (left), Kitty Rawlings, Sharon Jenson, Sammye Childers, Sue Kersey, Jeannine Brown and Bonnie Mikels recently completed a quilt for the 15th annual Hill Country Lawn & Garden Show. The quilt will be one of many prizes donated by area merchants and Master Gardeners at the event. Winners do not need to be present to win. The free show is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 23 at the Burnet Community Center, 401 E. Jackson St. in Burnet. Vendors will feature native and exotic plants, herbs, vegetables, succulents, houseplants and lawn and garden equipment and decorations. There also will be informative speakers, demonstrations and a children’s area.
