Lady Bulldogs get senior night win against Llano
BURNET — A 9-0 run to start the third quarter propelled the Burnet High School girls basketball team to a 48-34 win against Llano on Feb. 1.
“We had our moments where we played really good basketball and our moments where we struggled with decision making,” head coach Mike Cavender said.
Burnet led 14-8 in the first quarter, but the Lady Jackets battled back and were down 20-17 at the half.
The Lady Dawgs outscored Llano 13-5 in the third quarter.
“It was another great win and a great way for the senior to go out on senior and parent night,” Cavender said. “Kids continue to fight through adversity and find ways to win by making big plays at the right time.”
