OBITUARY: Joyce Sievers, 80, was longtime member of motorcycle club, Kingsland craft house
Joyce Elaine Sievers, 80, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Feb. 4, 2013. She was born Jan. 1, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas, to Thomas S. and Hazel E. (Watson) Colbath.
Joyce loved riding motorcycles with her husband, Lyle, and being with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be forever remembered for her never-ending supply of chocolate chip cookies and her devotion in Christian faith in prayer for all her friends and family she loved.
She was a longtime member of the Retreads XL+ Motorcycle Club, Christian Motorcycle Association, American Motorcycle Association and the Kingsland House of Arts and Crafts. Joyce also was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Kingsland.
She was a credit manager at Edgewood Credit Union for 17 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Larry Sievers and wife Lisa of San Antonio, Vicky Mumau and husband Bill of Kingsland and Julie Huddleston and husband Scott of San Antonio; beloved grandchildren, Katie Crumby and husband Daniel, Andrea Valentine and husband Shane, Stephanie Gardner and husband Rob, Matt Sievers and wife Kate, Greg Sievers, Heather Huddleston and fiancé Mark Tafolla, Jeff Huddleston and Amber Roy; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kaj, Keaton, Dixie, Paisley, Scarlett, Tyler and Piper.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 55 years, Lyle Sievers.
A funeral service is 10 a.m. Feb. 7 at First Baptist Church in Kingsland. A graveside service is 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 Interstate 10 West in San Antonio.
