Marble Falls girls soccer squad wins ‘physical game’ against Canyon Lake

CANYON LAKE — The Marble Falls High School girls soccer team played its most complete game of the season in beating Canyon Lake 3-0 on Jan. 29.

Lady Mustangs head coach Trey Young said he was as pleased with the multiple goals as he was with the team’s defense.

“They played well in a physical game,” he said. “We were knocked around a little bit. It was good to see.”

One of the goals was by Krystal Albarran, who was assisted by Cristina Sanchez. It was the second time in two games the two have combined for the score.

“Cristina’s got a wonderful little touch,” Young said. “She can send balls in from long distance. And Krystal is really quick. And she never stops moving the whole game. And her endurance is incredible, really.”

ON OFFENSE: Goals – Krystal Albarran assisted by Cristina Sanchez, Britney Deering from 23 yards out, Ashley Stallard

RECORDS: Marble Falls is 6-2-1.
