Gospel singer Barbara Fairchild to perform at Llano Country Opry on Feb. 9

LLANO — Gospel singer Barbara Fairchild and her husband, Roy Morris, will headline the Llano Country Opry on Feb. 9.
The show is 7:30 p.m. at the LanTex Theater, 113 Main St.
Admission is $15, and tickets may be purchased at the Llano Chamber of Commerce, 100 Train Station Drive; Llano National Bank, 1001 Ford St.; Lively Computers, 2112 RR 1431 in Kingsland; or by calling (325) 247-5354.
Fairchild is best known for her 1973 hit, “Teddy Bear Song,” according to an Opry news release. The song spent two weeks at No. 1 on the country charts.
Some of her other songs include “Love Is A Gentle Thing,” “A Woman’s Hand,” “A Girl Who’ll Satisfy Her Man,” “Love’s Old Song,” “Thanks For The Mem’ries,” “Baby Doll,” “Standing In Your Line,” “Little Girl Feelin’,” “Mississippi,” “Cheatin’ Is” and “Let Me Love You Once Before You Go.”
She lives in Branson, Mo., with her singer-songwriter husband and performs gospel and country music at the Golden Corral Theater, according to the release.
Other entertainers at the Feb. 9 show include Ben Watson, Shane Lively, Sammy Geistweidt, Charlie Walton, Don Ricketson, Bucille Snotgrass and Bode Barker. Tracy Pitcox will serve as master of ceremonies.
