Marble Falls boys soccer team ties Copperas Cove in tough match
COPPERAS COVE — The Marble Falls High School boys soccer team faced an early test against Copperas Cove on Jan. 22.
The Bulldogs, known for their physical play, gave the Mustangs all they could want in the annual matchup.
Marble Falls struck first, finding the back of the net within the first five minutes of the game. That lead held until the second half.
Marble Falls head coach Michael Nave said the Mustangs did what they wanted in the first half, while Copperas Cove took control in the second. He was pleased with his players’ efforts.
“Basically, it was a balm of two halves,” he said. “We shot and passed. Then, they boomed the ball and kicked it. It’s not our style.”
ON OFFENSE: Goal – Danny Osornio; assist – Uriel Solorzano
RECORD: Marble Falls is 7-2 overall.
