Ross Jackson

Ross Jackson, 90, of Meadowlakes was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Liberty Hill, Texas, to Chester and Ida (Perry) Jackson. He passed away Jan. 11, 2013, in Round Rock at Seton Williamson County Hospital.
Ross graduated from Monument High School in New Mexico and Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot with the rank of first lieutenant. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls and a member of Blazing Star Masonic Lodge No. 413 A.F. & A.M. in Marble Falls.
Ross retired as a district manager for the Hughes Christensen Drilling Equipment Co.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; son Buzz; grandchildren Michael and Kelly and husband Marc; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews Nancy, Suzie, Rusty and Mike.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chester “Jiggs” Jackson.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Jan. 14 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A funeral service is 2 p.m. Jan. 15 at First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls. Military honors and interment will follow at Andice Cemetery in Andice.
