Mildred Elizabeth Waldrope
Mildred Elizabeth Waldrope, 88, of Rowlett, Texas, passed away Jan. 11, 2013. She was born in Milton, La., on May 10, 1924. to Louise (Savoy) and Jerry Goodsell.
Mildred married Jerry Waldrope on Aug. 9, 1941, in Burnet, Texas. She had been a resident of Rowlett for the past 17 years, coming from Hammond, La., and Orange, Texas.
Survivors include her grandchildren Jerri Lynn Kepley of Rowlett, Macky Ramsey of Garland, Bob Ramsey of Dallas and Shelly Ramsey of Rowlett; great-grandchildren Lauren, Ryan, Lana Kaye, Haley, Tyler, Campbell and Cooper; and nieces Diane Hatfield and Donna Davis, both of Llano, Belinda Hare of Austin, Beth Hare of Beaumont, Becky Snell of Orange and JoLynn Mott of Orangefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry Waldrope on Sept. 17, 1994; and daughter Lana Darlene Ramsey.
A funeral service was Jan. 13 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Danny Meegan officiating. She was buried at Llano City Cemetery.
