<p>Karen Cottrell, 61, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, was welcomed in heaven   on Dec. 4, 2012. She was born on April 10, 1951, in Dallas to Martha and   Rodney Pearce.</p>
<p>Karen was a school teacher for 20 years, the founder of the TeamKaren   Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation and a Sunday school   teacher at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls.</p>
<p>As a 12-year cancer survivor, Karen was an inspiration to everyone she met.</p>
<p>She was preceded in her death by her parents and a beautiful granddaughter, Marlea Laymance.</p>
<p>She is survived by her husband, David Cottrell of Horseshoe Bay; her   children, Jennifer Laymance and husband, Kevin, of Chandler, Kimberly   Harris and husband, Huntleigh, of Spring Branch and Michael Cottrell and   wife, Kelley, of Austin; her grandchildren, Noah, Pearce and Asa    Laymance and Hunt and Charlotte Harris; her sister, Sandy Pearce of   Abilene; and her sisters-in-law, Sherry Barton of Ben Wheeler and Evelyn   Addis of Canton.</p>
<p>Visitation is 5 p.m. Dec. 5 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805   U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A celebration of life   service is 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at First Baptist Church, 501 12th St. in Marble   Falls.</p>
