MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School senior quarterback Mike Richardson and senior linebacker Brennan Parker have been selected to participate in the seventh annual Offense-Defense Bowl Week festivities.
The event is Dec. 26-Jan. 1 with an all-star game Dec. 30 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, the home of the NFL’s Houston Texans.

“It’s an honor to get chosen to play in any all-american or all-star game,” Richardson said.
“As a little kid, I always watched all the all-star games,” Parker said. “I wanted to be in one. It’s a great opportunity.”
Each day leading up to the game has a practice session.
After Parker was chosen, he told the event’s officials about Richardson.
“I know he’s a prospect,” he said of the quarterback. “It’s also a possible opportunity for him.”
Both said they hope participating will raise their exposure to college scouts and recruiters.
“That’s one of the big motivators,” Richardson said.
Parker attended the Dallas area’s Elite Combine, which is part of the Offense-Defense Football Camps, and loved working with the coaches, he said. He won one of the awards, and organizers remembered him for the end-of-year festivities.
Richardson broke the high school state record for most passing yards in a single game when he threw for 724 yards in the 62-55 victory against Boerne Champion on Sept. 20. He finished the season with 2,763 yards, 31 touchdowns and only four interceptions with an efficiency ratting of 146.72.
Parker led the Mustangs in tackles, averaging 13 per contest.
