VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Llano High School, Burnet Middle School

WACO — After capturing the first two sets, the Lady Jackets found themselves in a point-for-point decisive third game against Glen Rose in the Class 3A bi-district round of the playoffs Oct. 30. With their season on the line, the Lady Tigers overcame a 20-24 deficit to save four match points. But mental errors eventually cost Glen Rose, and the Lady Jackets moved on to the next round.

“Definitely felt like we did a good job of holding momentum even after we lost it in the third game,” Llano head coach Shawn Sweeten-Meredith said. “They did a good job of getting it back.”

“It was an awesome feeling to be so far ahead,” senior hitter Cierra Jordan said.

Junior defensive specialist Cierra Caffey said the key to the match was the Lady Jackets defense.
