Cen-Tex Crew wins Monster Bash softball tournament
The Cen-Tex Crew softball team, a squad of players 12 years and younger, took first place at the fifth annual Monster Bash Fastpitch Tournament on Oct. 27-28 in Seguin. The squad bested a field of 18 teams. “The girls played great softball, winning five straight bracket games and taking the championship game in a hard fought 1-0 tilt,” coach Lance Wenmohs said. The Crew includes Logan Hulon (front row, left), MaKenna DeLill, Slone Wenmohs and Marlee Barry; Julia Sulak (middle row, left), Hannah Marks, Skylar McKennis, Alex Barry and Shaye Hawkinson; coaches Orion Barry (back row, left), Matt McKennis, Chris DeLill and Lance Wenmohs.
