LAMPASAS — Alexa Barry began the match Oct. 22 by serving nine straight points, though the Lady Dawgs made some errors to allow the Badgers to climb back in the match, coaches said.

QUOTABLE: “The girls did a great job of communicating and playing big at the net,” Burnet coach Holly Hafley said. Burnet 7th A is 9-2 overall, 6-1 in district play.

LAMPASAS — The Badgers struggled with serve-receive against the Lady Dawgs on Oct. 22.
Meanwhile, Burnet didn’t have a problem using Lampasas’ free balls to its advantage, coaches said. “As a result, Burnet had some great hits from the front row,” Burnet coach Holly Hafley said. “Everyone contributed to this win in some way.”

LAMPASAS — The Badgers might have surprised the Lady Dawgs at the beginning of the match Oct. 22, but Burnet handle Lampasas the rest of the way.
Coaches said Burnet had a slow start.
“They came back ready to fight,” Burnet coach Jeanne Jackson said. “The girls played well at the end and started getting their serves over with a lot of force and determination.”
