Lady Flames qualify for playoffs in debut season

MARBLE FALLS — Adding a sport to an athletic program isn’t that easy, administrators say.

Difficulties include finding additional money for travel, food and coaches’ salaries.

But the interest in a volleyball team at Faith Academy was so high, administrators knew the time had come to add the sport, which made its debut this season.

And the Lady Flames said thank you the best way they knew how – by qualifying for the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 2A playoffs, which start Tuesday.

Faith travels to Rockwall Heritage Christian Academy, the District 4-2A champion, for a 4:30 p.m. match at the Rockwall Indoor Sports Expo, 2922 S. Goliad St. in Rockwall.
