Margaret Yeary Lamb, 98, died Oct. 6, 2012, at Richardson Methodist Hospital. She was born on Nov. 4, 1913, in Farmersville.

She lived in Texas all her life in Farmersville, McKinney, Denton, Austin, Burnet, Plainview, Houston and Richardson.

She attended Texas Women’s University in Denton and graduated in 1935. She married Jack in 1936, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1986.

She was an accomplished pianist. After retiring as an elementary school librarian, she enjoyed organizing libraries at the retirement communities where she lived, especially Clarewood in Houston and the Wellington in Richardson.

Survivors include daughter Julia Margaret Lamb Rohde; daughter-in-law Karen Wolfe; grandchildren Debra L. Madden, Terry Glaeser, David Glaeser, Michael Glaeser, Lamar Lamb; great-grandchildren Aaron Glaeser, Jeffery Burkett, Soren Lamb and Gavin Glaeser; and great-great-grandchildren Angelyne Glaeser and Gage Glaeser.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack J. Lamb Sr.; brother W.R. Yeary; and son Jack J. Lamb Jr.

A celebration of life graveside service is 11 a.m. Oct. 9 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
