Lynda Parrish
Lynda Parrish, 68, of Tow, died Oct. 2, 2012. She was born to Arter Columbus and Verda (Speake) Wheeler on Oct. 29, 1943, in Lubbock.
She was married to Willard “Red” Parrish on July 2, 1960. She was a medical assistant for many years. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tow and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 1118 of Kingsland.
In her spare time she loved to sew and craft.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years; son Richard Eugene Parrish of Mexia; daughters Darla Dempsey of Groesbeck and Brandi Galbraith of Lubbock; five grandsons; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers Pat Wheeler of Houston, Lee Wheeler of Oklahoma and Clifford Wheeler of Livingston; sisters Janice Sartan of Lubbock, Sheila Davis of Crockett and Dana Wheeler of Galena Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother.
A service is 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at the First Baptist Church,16521 RR 2241 in Tow, with the Rev. Jerald Moore and the Order of Eastern Star officiating.
