Marble Falls’ Mike Richardson says team, community are big part of record-setting performance
MARBLE FALLS — Mike Richardson looks at setting a state record for passing yardage in a single high school game not as a personal feat, but as a team accomplishment.
The Marble Falls High School senior quarterback passed for 724 yards Sept. 20 in the Mustangs’ 62-55 win against Boerne Champion. The yardage also ranks No. 2 nationally.
But Richardson believes the honor belongs to more than just him. He gets joy from seeing the smiles, happiness and pride on the faces of his teammates and the members of the community.
