Llano seventh-grade football teams beat Bandera
BANDERA — Though it was a scrimmage format, the Daubers showed up ready to play and used a hungry offense and a stingy defense to earn the season’s first win.
TOP PLAYERS: Shawn Kizer ran for touchdowns with the longest from 35 yards out. Damien Walker added a 3-yard touchdown run.
ON OFFENSE: Linemen Hayden Cowart, Mathew Reynolds, Austin Reasoner, Seth Wietz and Tyler Thompson and quarterback Tyler Wennes
ON DEFENSE: Ian Fletcher, Luis Coronado and Dalton Bauman

BANDERA — The Daubers dominated on both sides of the ball, coaches said. But big plays set the tone early.
TOP PLAYERS: Ben Walling scored on a 71-yard run but had another nullified by a holding penalty. Quarterback Justus Honea hit Josh Soliz for a 57-yard touchdown pass.
ON OFFENSE: Running back Brenden Cotton and Nolan Keller and linemen Forrest Mize, Austin Humphrey and Gage Cox
ON DEFENSE: Anthony Watson had an interception. Ray Dixon, Mason Greenwood, Soliz and Walling also stood out.
