Bulldogs take bite out of Billies in 26-21 season-opening win

BURNET — In a game that featured touchdown passes of 61, 56, 55, 34 and 38 yards, the play that preserved Burnet High School’s 26-21 victory against Fredericksburg on Aug. 31 was an interception.

Burnet junior defensive back Blayne Parisher fought Fredericksburg athlete Joaquin Rivera for the ball in the air. The two wrestled, even after they fell to the ground, but Parisher wouldn’t be denied.
