Walter Preston West
Walter Preston West, 95, died July 14, 2012, in Houston. He was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Hopkinsville, Ky.
He and his wife were longtime residents of the Cassie Community at Lake Buchanan and belonged to Burnet Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his brother Frank West and wife Evelyn; nieces Margaret, Elaine and Karen and their families; stepdaughters Linda Porter of Arizona and Janet Wilton of Houston; grandson Preston Davis; and great-grandchildren Lilly and Logan.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rowena West in 2005.
A graveside service is 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at 4219 Park Road 4, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Burnet Presbyterian Church, 101 S. Pierce St. in Burnet.
