Betty Jane Noree Lykins Steggall, 81, of Kingsland died July 17, 2012, surrounded by family. She was born in Coleman on July 31, 1930, to Fred and Gladys Weber.

She married Frank Steggall on March 1, 1969.

She was a municipal judge in Granite Shoals, a justice of the peace for Burnet County precinct 1 and a volunteer for the First Baptist Church food pantry. She also crocheted blankets for the LINUS Connection and was an avid bowler and bingo player.

Survivors include children Dana Chin and husband Robert of San Antonio, Nancy Green and husband Lionel of Argyle and Carolyn Machado and husband Frank of Kingsland; brother Billy Lykins of Kingsland; grandchildren Autumn Clakley, Ashley Chin, Nicolette Hickly and Brandon Machado; great-grandchildren Colton Clakley, Tanner Clakley and Travis Clakley; friends Debbie and Chris Bergman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in December 2009.

A celebration of life service is 3 p.m. July 21 at First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls with the Rev. John Weems officiating.

The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Loar, his staff and Hill Country Memorial Hospice for their loving care.
