Loren Aldon Woods
Loren Aldon Woods, 95, of Kingsland died July 11, 2012. He was born in Frederick, Okla., on May 30, 1917, to William Floyd and Texie (Hayes) Woods.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years and then became a salesman. He had been retired for some years.
In his spare time, he restored antique autos and airplanes, which he also loved to fly.
He was a 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 249 A.F. & A.M. in Frederick.
He married Dorothy Estes on Aug. 6, 1962.
In addition to his wife, survivors include children Robert Woods of Arlington and Marilyn Woods-Vaughan of Eufaula, Okla.; granddaughter Lori Smith of Arlington; brother Anton Woods of Lubbock; sister Claudine Duncan of Frederick, Okla.; nieces and nephews; and three stepchildren.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. July 17 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Frederick.
