GEORGETOWN — After going 0-2 a week earlier, the Burnet High School 7-on-7 football team was back in the winner’s column June 26 with victories against Georgetown B and St. Michael’s.
The Bulldogs (5-3) recorded an interception against Georgetown and added two more touchdowns for the victory.
After St. Michael’s took a 6-0 advantage, Burnet immediately answered for a 7-6 lead.
Kody Hall grabbed two interceptions for the 21-6 win.
Travis Massingill, Blayne Parisher and Jake McElroy each recorded interceptions.
Cameron Langley, Jordan Barnard, Hall, Parisher, Cory Cavender, Austin Huff and Trenton Hafley each had touchdown catches from quarterback Derek Kiser.
The Bulldogs continue to prepare for the state tournament, which is July 19-21 in College Station.
