Mother of former Marble Falls football player to speak at brain injury conference

AUSTIN  — Former Marble Falls High School football player Blake Ripple is one of the topics of the Brain Injury Association of Texas 2012 State Wide Conference on June 16.

Ripple, who finished his eligibility in 2010, suffers from autonomic dysfunction, or dysautonomia. The condition refers to a number of diseases that disrupt involuntary body functions including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, gastrointestinal secretion and metabolic and endocrine responses to stress such as the “fight-or-flight” syndrome, according to published reports
