11-year-old throws no-hitter for Marble Falls Braves

LAMPASAS — Hayden Young threw a perfect game in a win for the Marble Falls Braves baseball team May 18.

The 11-year-old pitcher faced nine batters and struck out eight. He threw a total of 35 pitches that included 26 strikes.

The Braves led 35-0 against the Lampasas Titans when the game was called after the third inning.

Young, a left-handed pitcher, is in his second year playing. He made the all-star team his first year. He also plays football and basketball.

The Braves are part of the Marble Falls Baseball and Softball Association.
