Eunice Thurman, 88, died May 16, 2012, in Abilene.

Born in Denver on July 15, 1923, she was the daughter of Esther (Peterson) and David Carlson.

She was a homemaker. She and husband, George Eldon Thurman, moved from Marble Falls to Abilene on Oct. 1, 2007.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marble Falls, and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Abilene.

Survivors include daughters Carol Cost of Abilene, and Marilyn Johnson and Nancy Smith, both of Marble Falls; grandchildren, Deanna Pfister, William Johnson, Michelle Hibler, Tracy Shirley and Ruth Templeton; and nine great-grandchildren, as well as one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 22, 2007, and her parents.

A visitation is 6-8 p.m. May 18 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.

A second visitation is 6-8 p.m. May 21 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.

A funeral service is 2 p.m. May 22 at First Baptist Church, 501 Twelfth St. in Marble Falls with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating, assisted by Rev. Weldon French.

Interment will follow in Marble Falls City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bobby Shirley, Jake Templeton, Will Johnson, Glen Bible and Gary Poynor.
