Tommy Gene Whitt, 71, of Liberty Hill died April 29, 2012. He was born in Leander on April 6, 1941, to Alvin E. and Ira Johns Whitt.

He was a master plumber by trade and retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 286.

He loved to lend a helping hand to those in need and drink coffee with his friends at the local coffee shops. He was a jack of all trades, and his passion were building projects from the ground up, hunting and gardening.

Survivors include daughter Sabrina Jordan and husband Rick; sons Cliff Whitt and wife Kim and Thomas Whitt; grandchildren Shannon Ponton, Lance Jordan, Phillip Jordan, Brittney Ryder, Zach Whitt and Shaye Whitt; six great-grandchildren; siblings Harry “Bud” Whitt and wife Alice, Kenneth “Skeeter” Whitt and wife Rose, Joyce Anderson and husband Doyle, A.C. “Chigger” Whitt and wife Pam, David Whitt and J.D. Whitt and wife Jeanette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jackie Whitt.

Visitation is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 1 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 in Burnet. A graveside service is 10 a.m. May 2 at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill with Pastor Howdy Byars officiating.
