Elsie E. Lawrence
Elsie E. Lawrence, 92, of Kingsland died April 24, 2012. She was born in Mountain View, Ark., on April 23, 1920, to Monroe and Diceie (Dudley) Speer.
She married Theron Clifford Lawrence on May 19, 1934, in Aspermont.
She had been a resident of Kingsland since 1980, moving there from Odessa. She was a member of Valley Spring Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
Survivors include daughters Jerry Chandler of Kingsland and Cindy Hedrick of Houston; sons Jimmy Lawrence and wife Tita of Edcouch, Johnny Lawrence and wife Reba of Kingsland and Donald Lawrence and wife Donna of Granite Shoals; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 16, 1981; parents; four brothers; four sisters; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. April 27 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767. A graveside service is 3 p.m. April 28 at Kingsland Cemetery with Elder Larry Hausenfluck officiating.
Pallbearers include her grandsons.
