Eugene Hansford McDonald
Eugene Hansford McDonald, 92, of Temple died April 15, 2012. He was born in Youngsport on July 26, 1919, to William and Josie Kelly McDonald.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include children James McDonald and wife Virginia of The Meadows, Bettie Waggoner of Pleasanton, Calif., Vicki Cox and husband Joey of Burnet, Rudy McDonald and wife Crickett and Wanda Wolsch and husband James, all of Leander, Richard McDonald and wife Sally of Temple, Wayne McDonald and wife Anna of Maxwell, Eilleen Newstrom and husband Carl of Elgin, and Calleen Shaffer and husband Bill of Austin; daughter-in-law Judy McDonald of Hillsboro, Ore.; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Frances Gene McDonald; and son Bobby Eugene McDonald.
A visitation is 6-8 p.m. April 17 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444.
A service is 1 p.m. April 18 at the funeral home.
