Blake Aaron Arnold
Blake Aaron Arnold, 19, of Florence died April 6, 2012, in a car accident. He was born in Austin on Sept. 21, 1992, to Robert Louis Arnold and Tonua Kay Daugherty Cloud.
He graduated from Florence High School in 2011.
He loved to hunt and fish, and he caught the “big one” at a young age. In 2011, he visited Belize on a mission trip with his uncle Scott. He saw his time there as a great adventure, sleeping in a hut and having to face his fear of spiders.
One of his proudest moments was watching his father receive a promotion to lieutenant for the Georgetown Fire Department.
He was a loyal friend and always willing to help others. He was a very outgoing and brought joy to the lives of all who knew him. His ability to fill a room with his smile and laughter will be missed by many.
Visitation was April 9 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. A service is 2 p.m. April 10 at the funeral home chapel, 393 I-35 North in Georgetown. Interment will follow at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet. Pallbearers include Hunter Isbell, Kyle Barnett, Jake Isbell, Cody Brummett, Darrel Warren and Cory Jolly.
Survivors include father Bobby Arnold and stepmother Cheryl; mother Tonua Cloud and stepfather Doug; sisters Bridgette Danielle Arnold, Jessica Kisling and husband Jacob Rouse, Samantha Materne and Brittni Robins and husband Jim; paternal grandparents Bob and Marion Arnold; maternal grandmother Linda Kay Goble; uncles Scott Arnold, Bufford Keith Knipe, Karl Daugherty and Kevin Daugherty and wife Stephanie; aunt Sherry Brummett and husband Arlis; and many friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather T.J. Daugherty and second cousin Phyllis Daugherty.
