Cecil Clifford Holt
Cecil Clifford Holt, 57, of Llano died April 6, 2012. He was born in Dallas on March 2, 1955, to Cecil Zeno and Mary Katherine (Graves) Holt.
He was co-owner of Olens Ice Box in Llano.
He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and was a member of the team’s fan club. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include wife Barbara Hershey of Llano; brothers Bill Holt of Mansfield and Charles Holt of Phoenix; nieces Mary Katherine Holt of Dallas, Niki Traxler and husband Lee of West Monroe, La., and Stacy Martin of Waxahachie; sister-in-law Laurie Haynes of Dallas; brothers-in-law Tom Brown and wife Kristin of Huntsville, Randall Phelps and wife Karen of Denver, Michael Phelps and wife Jessica of Centennial, Colo., and Gary Phelps of Gilbert, Ariz.; and sidekick Fred the basset hound.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Holt in 1971.
A graveside service was April 9 at Restland Cemetery in Dallas with his brother Bill Holt officiating.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. April 12 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with Bill Holt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
