Mustangs finish 2-2 at Kerrville baseball tourney

KERRVILLE — After starting the Kerrville Tivy Tournament 0-2, the Marble Falls High School baseball team had a gut check March 1-3.

Bumps and bruises forced coaches into earlier pitching changes, and blown leads in late innings also contributed to the Mustangs’ losses to San Antonio Madison 8-3 and Tivy 7-6.

But the Mustangs (3-7) showed their grit in winning the last two contests of the tournament — against Kyle Lehman 6-4 and Alice 6-5.
