Marble Falls adds radar signs to traffic safety measures

MARBLE FALLS — Motorists driving on RR 1431 and U.S. 281 may get “flashed” if they’re pushing the speed limit.

That’s because police have posted three electronic radar signs at strategic roadway spots where drivers are coming off higher speed areas north and west of town.

The signs are different from the radar unit on a trailer the city sometimes uses and the so-called “speed camera,” which was banned by the Legislature.
