Race Across America president says Marble Falls ideal spot for cycling competition

MARBLE FALLS — When Fred Boethling first started cycling, he visited Marble Falls and saw what he described as an ideal training ground because of the town’s proximity to Austin and the winding roads through the hills.
So when it was time for his Race Across America to begin a new season, the president and CEO knew the ideal starting and ending point – Johnson Park in Marble Falls.
Riders in RAAM’s Texas Cycling Challenge can choose from three non-competitive rides at 30, 60 and 120 miles and endurance rides of 200 and 400 miles.
