Willie Wade Tinsley

Willie Wade Tinsley, 85, of Llano died Feb. 26, 2012. He was born in the Babyhead Community on Jan. 24, 1927, to Loftin B. and Stella (Montgomery) Tinsley.
He married LaDon Sessom on June 26, 1954.
He served in the Army during World War II. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after 25 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Llano. He enjoyed hunting and running hounds and was the last of the old Babyhead families.
He was a loving family man.
In addition to his wife, survivors include sons Tommy W. Tinsley and James Tinsley, both of Llano; daughter-in-law Brenda Tinsley of Llano; sister Gene Donop of Llano; grandson Waylon Tinsley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and a brother.
A service is 2 p.m. Feb. 29 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. The Rev. Rick Cundieff will officiate. Burial will follow in Llano City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Harvey Spinks, Ben Stewart, Charles Perry, Rayburn Houston, Morris Sherry and Kenny Donop.
Honorary pallbearers include Winfred Smathers, Leslie Brewer, Leon Tucker, Russell Ricketson, Paul Paxton and Wilford Tuckness.
