Violet Heine
Violet Heine, 98, of Bertram died Feb. 24, 2012. She was born in Brown County on Jan. 2, 1913, to Ruben and Octavia Willett DeLeon.
Survivors include daughters Delane Headrick and husband David of Bertram, Shirley Watson and husband Alton of Adamsville and Bonnie McCoy and husband Billy of Bertram; sister Vyra Rose Daniel of Austin; sisters-in-law Minnie Deleon, Wiona Wall and Wilma DeLeon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Malcolm Heine in 2005; five brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation was Feb. 26. A service was Feb. 27 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with the Rev. Gordon Bergstrom officiating. Interment followed in Oatmeal Cemetery in Bertram.
Pallbearers included William DeLeon, Stevan Deleon, Kenny Kinnibrugh, Ivan Thurman, Keith Thurman and Chris Headrick.
