Audie Lane Wisener, 54, of Kingsland died Feb. 21, 2012. He was born in Abilene on March 8, 1957, to Gail Wayne and Elvera Schulte Wisener.

He worked in the West Texas oilfields as a young man, following in the footsteps of his father. At 21, he traveled to South America and began a career as an international "jet-set roughneck," working in the jungles of Africa and South America and the deserts of the Middle East. He was a tool pusher, working for Santa Fe drilling, Helmerick and Payne and Nabors.

He was happiest at home in Texas, fishing for big bass, living life to the fullest and always smiling. He touched the heart of anyone who met him.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sheri Snell Wisener of Kingsland; a son; daughter Brennah and husband David Reinertsen of Montgomery; mother Elvera Wisener Woods of Kingsland; sisters Lisa Weathersby of Dallas and Mitzi Wisener of Kingsland; grandchildren Tyler and Kaitlyn Reinertsen; nieces Randi and Nicole; and his constant companion Bo.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
