Marjorie Deloris Glover Knowles Wulfson, 82, died Feb. 5, 2012. She was born in San Benito on March 23, 1929.

She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1947 and later graduated from the Baylor School of Nursing in Dallas. She moved to Galveston in 1949 to complete nursing school.

She married Dr. Joe H. Knowles and moved to San Antonio in 1952. She later moved to Amarillo in 1954, then in 1956 to Borger, where she lived until moving back to Dallas in 1975.

She had five children before marrying Virgil Shaw Wulfson Jr. in 1979. Her family then grew to include three more children.

She returned to nursing for a short time, working in the nursery and obstetrics department at the Borger hospital. She also worked as an executive assistant at an insurance company.

She lived life to the fullest, spreading joy and laughter. She was an avid duplicate bridge player and supported the activities of her children, extended family and friends. She loved ballroom dancing and shared her remarkable talent and skill with others by teaching junior high students in a junior cotillion group. She honed her skills with lessons from the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Amarillo.

Survivors include husband Virgil “Gil” Wulfson of Horseshoe Bay; children Dr. John H. Knowles of Cedar Hill, Becky Hanna Fowler of Amarillo, Carolyn Knowles Anderson of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert L. Knowles of Fort Worth, V. Shaw Wulfson III of College Station, Elizabeth Dean of Houston and Matthew C. Wulfson of Spring; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents John and Esther Glover; son Lewis Knowles; and sister Priscilla Trail.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 8 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. Entombment is 3 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Horseshoe Bay Mausoleum followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. at the Church at Horseshoe Bay. A reception will follow at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Hill Country Community Theatre in Cottonwood Shores or a charity of choice.
