John Rabb

John Rabb, 91, of Llano died Feb. 6, 2012. He was born in Llano on Aug. 7, 1920, to James Richard Rabb and Mamie Hartman.
He married Janie Castro on Aug. 10, 1996, in Johnson City.
He was a lifetime Llano resident, a veteran of the Air Force, a member of the Llano American Legion and a member of First Christian Church. He loved fishing, hunting, dancing and and life, living it to the fullest.
In addition to his wife, survivors include stepsons Albert Hernandez and wife Tina of Llano and Louis Hernandez and wife Sylvia of Lampasas; daughter Jean Hagood and husband M.D. of Austin; stepdaughter Veronica Ortiz and husband George of Marble Falls; brother Sam Rabb and wife Mary of Llano; nieces Carline Scott and husband Don of Llano, Ann Matlock of Llano and other nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Judith Wilson; brother Carl Rabb; and sisters Wilma Rabb and Doris Rabb.
A service is 10 a.m. Feb. 8 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with Pastor Gretel Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at the Llano City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Richard Rabb, Russell Rabb, Jonathan Hagood, Louis Hernandez, George Ortiz and Bart Freeman. Honorary pallbearers include Veronica Ortiz, Fred Shaffer, Les Inman, Albert Hernandez and his church family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 1105 Oatman St., Llano, TX 78643.
