Robert Benjamin Harlan, 60, of Llano died Feb. 1, 2012. He was born May 16, 1951, in Houston to W.L. (Bill) and Ruth Harlan.

He graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1970 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree and master of business administration degree from Texas State University. 

He worked as a certified public accountant in San Antonio. He later returned to his beloved Texas State University as a lecturer. He had a lifelong love of fishing and hunting, was an avid gardener and truly will be remembered for his extraordinary ability to make people laugh.

Survivors include his parents of Llano; brother Charles of Llano; and daughter Kelley of San Marcos.

He was preceded in death by his brother Richard.

A memorial service is 3 p.m. Feb. 9 at Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wade Powell officiating.
