Marble Falls junior varsity boys soccer squad finishes second at tourney
COPPERAS COVE — The Marble Falls High School boys junior varsity soccer team finished second at the Copperas Cove tournament Jan. 27-28.
Coach Trey Young said defense led the way with strong games by fullbacks Lauro Martinez, Jose Mendez and Nick Cano. Goalkeeper Jesùs Perez logged three shutouts in four games, even though he had only practiced the position for one week prior to the tournament, Young said.
The offense was led by Eduardo Torres and leading scorer Brian Miller, Young said.
This is the third consecutive appearance in the championship game for the Mustangs.
