Woerner’s leadership helped all programs
MARBLE FALLS — Coaching high school football might have been his life for nearly a decade, but Cord Woerner wants the community to know he’s excited about his next challenge — director of special programs for Marble Falls schools.
Woerner’s transfer from the gridiron to the central office was announced Jan. 5. After eight years as the head football coach at Marble Falls High School and the athletic director for the Marble Falls Independent School District, he says it’s time to try something new.
“I’m going to jump into it and do the district the best job I can,” he said. “It’s a positive thing. I was offered a position and I accepted. I wish the next guy luck.”
His new duties include community outreach, energy management and building bridges to the growing number of bilingual students and their families in the district.
