Annie Madolyn Frasier

Annie Madolyn Frasier, 70, of Marble Falls died Jan. 7, 2012, at Marble Falls Assisted Living.
A lifelong resident of Marble Falls, she was born April 22, 1941, in Double Horn to Carl and Lillie Hood Frasier.
“Aunt Madolyn” was the youngest of five siblings and, although she never married or had children of her own, she was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
She retired from a long career in banking that started soon after her graduation from Marble Falls High School in 1959. She began as a teller at Home State Bank located on Main Street in Marble Falls and remained with the bank through several changes in ownership, concluding her career with the bank in the bookkeeping department.
She later took a job as a cashier at the Blue Bonnet Café until her health forced her to retire in March of 2011. She enjoyed her time at the counter, visiting with her many friends and dispensing her wealth of knowledge on the history of Marble Falls and surrounding communities.
She was known for the many birthday and get-well cards she sent over the years. She also supported and remembered the local men and women of the military deployed overseas with greeting cards.
She was instrumental in the creation of The Falls on the Colorado Museum and spent countless hours supporting the fundraisers that made the museum a possibility. She was especially proud of the success of the Marble Falls Founders Day Celebration held each year in July.
She considered her graduating Class of 1959 a part of her extended family and enjoyed the social gatherings they had each year. She held season tickets at Mustang Stadium and enjoyed nothing more than being present to support the youth of Marble Falls.
In 2010, she was honored as the first alumni recipient of the Legacy Fund Award for her support of the Marble Falls Independent School District.
Her passion for history resulted in her co-authoring and contributing articles and pictures to several local history books. She was an active member of the Burnet County Historical Society and the Burnet County Genealogical Society.
She was an active member of the Marble Falls Church of Christ.
She will be missed by the many people who benefited from her caring, her giving spirit and her support of Marble Falls, a town that she loved.
