Jerry Don Ratliff
Jerry Don Ratliff, 60, of Burnet died Dec. 22, 2011. Born Aug. 12, 1951, in Rosenberg, he was the son of Clifford and Myrlee (Chaney) Ratliff.
He moved to Marble Falls at a very young age and attended Marble Falls schools. He was a director of operations at Camp Buckner for 24 years. He was founder and owner of Ratliff Homes.
He loved the outdoors. His passions included hunting, fishing and, above all else, spending time with his family. He lived his life to please others; whether it was doing things for his family or building a house for his clients. He found purpose in life in satisfying those around him.
He always had a smile on his face and a genuine concern for those he loved. He was a friend to all he met and his sense of humor was contagious, as well as his mischievous grin.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Tammy Ratliff; children Chelsea, Lindsey and Hunter; sisters Saundra and husband Larry Ford and Betty Jo and husband Les Heffington; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Dec. 26 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.
A funeral service is 11 a.m. Dec. 27 at First Baptist Church, 501 12th St. in Marble Falls, with the reverends Max Copeland and Ross Chandler officiating. Interment follows in Marble Falls City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Doyle Hoff, Charlie Hill, Raymond Hall, Mike Fry, Tommy Houy and Robert Womack.
