Roger Lamar Wingett
Roger Lamar Wingett, 72, of Llano died at his residence Dec. 16, 2011. He was born Nov. 29, 1939, to Chester Wingett and Hazel (Dare) Wingett in South Bend, Ind.
He was married to Cheryl Ann McCune until her death in 2006. He later met his best friend and companion Susan M. Cook. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Llano.
In addition to his companion, survivors include sons Perrin Lamar Wingett of Llano, Dennin Laman Wingett and wife Tracy of Auburn, Calif., and Bobby Vernon Wingett of St. Marys, Ohio; daughters Halene “Sissy” M. Sell and husband Darren of St. Marys, Ohio, and Gina Marie Guynes and husband Ray of San Angelo; sisters Sandy Hartman and husband George of South Bend, Ind., and Deb Gee and husband Larry of Mishawaka, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Judy Knapp and Darlene Nunemaker.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
