Emily Belle Scott
Emily Belle Scott, 88, of Meadowlakes died Dec. 13, 2011. She was born in North Carolina on Jan. 14, 1923, to Pehlem and Leila (Dawson) McMichael.
She had a master’s degree in fine arts and taught in schools in Maryland. She moved to Meadowlakes in 1981 after retiring.
She was very active in her church and the Highland Lakes Art Guild. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her son Michael Scott and wife Kathy of Millersville, Md.; daughters Karen Chesher and husband Phillip of Marble Falls and Diane Scott of Meadowlakes; sister Dorothy Oliver of North Carolina; and grandchildren Stephanie Scott, Michelle Scott, Joseph Edwards, Brian Golden and Kevin Golden.
She was preceded in death by husband Joseph Scott; grandson Scott Murray; and brother Jack McMichael.
A memorial service is 10 a.m. Dec. 17 at First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Drive in Marble Falls, with the Rev. Ellen Ely officiating.
